Watch Our Work

President’s Malaria Initiative

Launched in 2005, the President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) represented a major five-year, US$1.265 billion expansion of U.S. resources for malaria control. Led by the United States Agency for International Development and implemented in partnership with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, PMI strives to reduce malaria morbidity and mortality in 19 focus countries in Africa and one regional program in the Greater Mekong Subregion of Southeast Asia.
